Volunteers

Trail races could not happen without the volunteer teams behind them. If you are interested in volunteering for one of the roles/shifts below, please reach out to us at glove@vt.edu for more information, including full shift times.

Communications:
This involves using a tablet (Ipad, etc.) to upload data to OpenSplitTime throughout the race. We are asking for single volunteer (or team) to handle the full shifts noted below to prevent any potential gaps.  There will a meeting prior to the event to walk through the process.

Peru Creek Inbound (Mile 84.5)
Wild Irishman (Mile 28.5/74.5)--4x4 Encouraged
Guanella Pass (Mile 52)

General Aid Station Volunteering:
Everywhere! Email us with your availability (Friday and/or Saturday) and what type of car you drive and we will place you! Aids 3, 4/10, 5/9, and 12 require high clearance 4x4 (think 4Runner, not Subaru). Nearly any vehicle can make it to the other aid station locations. Sign up for a few hours or a full shift! You can get an idea for shift times for this from the aid station spreadsheet under "Race Info."

Medical:
If you have Wilderness First Responder, EMT, or other relevant medical training, please let us know!
